Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper KL Rahul was left perplexed for a few seconds at the toss in Lucknow for the IPL 2024 clash against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Saturday, April 27.
Opposition captain Sanju Samson called for heads as Rahul spun the coin. The former won the toss as the match referee announced that it was heads that came up. Yet, due to some bizarre reason, Rahul went towards the presenter Ian Bishop assuming he had won the toss.
After a bit of confusion, it was clarified that Sanju Samson had won the toss and the RR skipper chose to bowl first. Here's the video of how the incident panned out.

Samson didn't feel the need to make any changes to their team that beat Mumbai Indians by nine wickets. Lucknow also stuck to the same team that helped them beat Chennai at Chepauk.
KL Rahul's fine knock guides LSG to a competitive total
KL Rahul once again led from the front for the Lukcnow Super Giants as they didn't get off to the best of starts. LSG lost both Quinton de Kock (8) and arcus Stoinis (0) early and were 11/2.
However, after absorbing initial pressure against the moving ball, Rahul gradually turned the tide on the Royals alongside Deepak Hooda. The duo added a splendid 115 runs for the third wicket and set up a great platform for the likes of Nicholas Pooran and others to follow.
Handy cameos from Ayush Badoni (18) and Krunal Pandya helped Lucknow post 196/5 in their 20 overs. RR got off to a flying start as both Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler added 60 runs for the opening stand. However, LSG have come roaring back with both openers back in the shed in the span of three deliveries.
