Rajasthan cricketer Mahipal Lomror etched his name in the record books with his maiden triple century in first-class cricket. The left-handed batter achieved this milestone on Day 2, November 14, during the ongoing Round 5 fixture of the Ranji Trophy against Uttarakhand at the Abhimanyu Cricket Academy in Dehradun.

Coming in at number 3, Lomror played a stellar knock on Day 1, finishing unbeaten on 141 off 189 balls at stumps. He carried his form into Day 2, reaching his double century off 253 balls. The Rajasthan batter continued his dominant innings, eventually posting his maiden triple century in first-class cricket off 357 balls, including 25 boundaries and 13 sixes.

Prior to this match, Lomror had played 53 first-class games, amassing 3,011 runs at an average of 39.10, with 16 half-centuries and seven centuries. He also scored a century in the Round 4 match against Hyderabad, finishing with 111 runs.


Mahipal Lomror's triple century helps Rajasthan post a mammoth first-innings total

Uttarakhand won the toss and opted to bowl first. Openers Abhijeet Tomar (20) and Ram Mohan Chouhan (29) got off to starts but couldn't convert them into big innings. Mahipal Lomror and Karthik Sharma were exceptional, putting together a 177-run partnership for the fifth wicket.

Karthik scored 113 off 115 balls, while Lomror remained unbeaten on 300 off 360 balls. Bharat Sharma (54), Deepak Chahar (35), and Kukna Ajay Singh (40*) also contributed, as Rajasthan declared their first innings at 660/7.

In response, Deepak Chahar gave Rajasthan an early breakthrough, dismissing Avneesh Sudha for five. Priyanshu Khanduri (27), skipper Ravikumar Samarth (51), and Swapnil Singh (36) made solid contributions. Yuvraj Chaudhary played a stellar knock, scoring a century.

At tea on Day 3, Uttarakhand were 306/7, trailing by 354 runs, with Yuvraj (121) and Deepak Dhapola (0) at the crease.
