On Day 4 (Tuesday, December 17) of the third Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 Test, Rohit Sharma resumed India's innings with KL Rahul at the other end. After the duo completed a tight run, Rohit was heard telling Rahul that he had stopped in between.

The mix-up almost caught the India captain short of his crease. During the fourth over of the day, bowled by Mitchell Starc, Rahul defended a delivery toward mid-on and pushed for a single right away.

However, Rohit Sharma at the other end was not sure of the run and stuttered as he was in two minds. Rahul pushed for the run and Rohit had no choice but to commit himself and had to put in a dive to make the crease in the end.

Fortunately for India, the mix-up did not cause any trouble, as Rohit made his crease with the dive. Once the tight single was completed and Rohit stood up, he was heard saying:

"Mai ruk gaya that yaar (I had stopped)."

Watch a glimpse of the incident here:

Rohit Sharma failed to impress with the bat once again after a poor score (10) in the ongoing third Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 Test at The Gabba, departing soon after surviving the run-out scare.

Rohit Sharma's Test woes continue

Rohit failed to score big in the ongoing third Test against Australia, being dismissed for just 10 runs. However, he has been struggling in the format since the home series against Bangladesh and New Zealand.

Against Bangladesh, the right-hander managed 42 runs from four innings while against New Zealand, he scored 91 runs from six innings. While he missed the first Test against Australia in Perth, his return in Adelaide was not a fruitful one.

Rohit scored 3 and 6 in Adelaide in the two innings, respectively. The India captain's form in the longest format continues to remain a concern for the team.
