Team India pacer Mohammed Siraj's celebrappeal on Day 2 of the side's ongoing Adelaide pink-ball Test against Australia left fans in splits. The incident took place in the 36th over of the Australian innings.

On the fourth ball of the over, Siraj was confident that he had trapped Marnus Labuschagne LBW and started celebrating without turning back to look towards the umpire. However, the on-field umpire Richard Illingworth adjudged it Not Out.

India skipper Rohit Sharma opted not to use the DRS, and rightly so, as the replay suggested that there was a thick inside edge. You can watch the video of Siraj's celebrappeal below:

Here's how some fans reacted to Siraj's appeal:

Mohammed Siraj was involved in a similar incident during the Test series opener in Perth as well. The right-arm pacer was all pumped up after hitting Travis Head on the pads in Australia's second innings. However, unperturbed by the celebrappeal, umpire Richard Kettleborough shook his head and the batter survived.

Mohammed Siraj clocked 181.6 kph due to a speed gun malfunction on Day 1 of Adelaide Test

While Mohammed Siraj remained wicketless on Day 1 of the Adelaide Test, he still managed to grab headlines. The right-arm pace was in the spotlight due to his bowling speed.

During the 25th over of the innings, the speed gun showed that Siraj had clocked 181.6 kmph, bowling the fastest-ever delivery in international cricket. However, it was due to a glitch from the broadcaster's end.

Meanwhile, India won the toss and chose to bat first in the pink ball Test. The visitors failed to register a big total in the first innings, getting bowled out for just 180.

Australia's veteran speedster Mitchell Starc ran riot, bagging a career-best six-wicket haul. For India, all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy was the top-scorer with his 42-run knock.

India lead the five-match series 1-0, courtesy of their stunning 295-run victory in the Perth Test.
