Team India pacer Mohammed Siraj silenced the crowd after knocking over Australian opener Usman Khawaja with a stunning delivery. The incident took place on Day 4 of the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
Siraj has been under the pump for not backing up Jasprit Bumrah well throughout the series. However, he seemed to trouble Khawaja right through this innings, ultimately ending his long 65-ball vigil.
It was a full delivery on off-stump from the right-arm pacer. Khawaja didn't have a lot of foot movement and tried to push at the ball, leaving a gap enough for the ball to sneak through. The ball did enough to beat Khawaja's bat and rattle the stumps. Mohammed Siraj was pumped up with the wicket and silenced the MCG crowd with a finger on the lip.
