Mysore Warriors captain Karun Nair hit a six to bring up his hundred against Mangalore Dragons in the 10th match of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2024 on Monday, August 19. The game is taking place at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.

The incident occurred on the last ball of the 19th over. Mangalore Dragons pacer Nischith N Rao bowled a full delivery outside off-stump, which Karun Nair tried to slog over mid-on. However, he got a thick edge as the ball sailed over the ropes at third-man for a six. The right-handed batter reached his hundred off just 43 balls.

Here’s the video of the moment:

After being invited to bat first, the Mysore Warriors lost both openers, Karthik CA (11) and SU Karthik (23), cheaply. Karun Nair came in at No. 3 and played some brilliant shots. Samit Dravid, son of former India coach Rahul Dravid, had a disappointing outing, scoring 16 off 12 balls.

Nair reached his fifty off 27 balls and continued to play his shots. He took 16 more balls to score the next 50 runs.

The Indian batter, along with Manoj Bhandage (31* off 14 balls), stitched an unbeaten 85-run partnership for the fifth wicket as Mysore Warriors finished at 226-4 in their allotted 20 overs. Karun Nair remained unbeaten on 124 off 48 balls, smashing 13 boundaries and nine sixes.

Nikin Jose (28* off 18 balls) and Krishnamurthy Siddharth (22* off 15 balls) put up 46 runs off 28 balls for the third wicket before the play was stopped by rain.

At the time of writing, Mangalore Dragons were 79-2 after 8.3 overs, needing 148 runs off 69 balls.
