Team India Jasprit Bumrah bowled his heart out on Day 4 of the ongoing Boxing Day Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia in Melbourne. The speedster was the pick of the Indian bowlers on the day, bagging a splendid four-wicket haul as the hosts finished at 228/9 at stumps.
Bumrah has been skipper Rohit Sharma's go-to guy this series and the ace pacer has been an absolute workhorse on this tour. The 31-year-old bowled 24 overs on Day 4 and has already bowled a total of 52.4 overs across two innings in this Test.
A video surfaced on social media, in which Bumrah was heard on the stump microphone suggesting that he was exhausted and wasn't keen on bowling another over. He said:
"Bas abhi. Nahi lag raha hai zor." [Enough now. I'm not able to push more].

It is worth mentioning that Jasprit Bumrah has bowled 140.4 overs in the ongoing five-match Test series, the most by any bowler across the two teams. He has been in stunning form and is the leading wicket-taker of the rubber, with 29 wickets from eight innings at an outstanding average of 13.24.
Bumrah also added another feather to his decorated cap as he completed 200 Test wickets. He reached the landmark by dismissing Travis Head on Day 4 of the Boxing Day Test. He became the first-ever bowled to claim 200 scalps at an average of less than 20.
"There's just no weakness this man has" - Sanjay Manjrekar's massive praise for Jasprit Bumrah
Former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar was mighty impressed by Jasprit Bumrah's bowling exploits in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He pointed out how the seamer's brilliance hasn't been limited to just Test cricket but has been on display across formats.
Hailing Bumrah as Indian cricketer's 'genie', the cricketer-turned-commentator said (quoted as saying by India Today):
"There's just no weakness this man has. It's almost like he is this genie that Indian cricket have brought as a gift and you make a wish and you get it. And it's always Bumrah providing it, be it the T20 cricket World Cup or 50 over World Cup, or it's a match like this, crucial game on a page where a lot of the bowlers struggle to get anything out of it. He was getting lateral movement."
Australia have swelled their lead to 333. Marnus Labuschagne scored 70 runs, while lower-order batters Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon continued 41 runs each, respectively, on Day 4. Lyon will resume batting on Day 5 and has a chance of notching his maiden Test fifty. Jasprit Bumrah, on the other hand, will look to clinch yet another five-wicket haul.
Interestingly, Bumrah dismissed Lyon in the final over of Day 4. The off-spinner was caught in the slips but survived as India's pace spearhead had overstepped.
