The ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 series has seen some intense moments and battles on the field so far. The tension is soaring between the two sides as they gear up for the fourth Test in Melbourne, starting on Thursday, December 26.

Amidst all the seriousness, ABC Sport shared a video that lightens the atmosphere, involving some big Australian cricketers, during the ongoing BGT 2024-25.

Australian cricketers Pat Cummins, Travis Head, Usman Khawaja, Nathan Lyon, Glenn Maxwell, Alex Carey, and Steve Smith were asked to describe the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the International Cricket Council (ICC), and the Indian cricket team.

Cummins described all three as 'big, while Head called BCCI the 'rulers'. He went on to call the ICC 'second' (to BCCI) and Indian cricket 'strong'. Usman Khawaja did not comment on the ICC but described Indian cricket as 'talented'.

Meanwhile, Lyon described BCCI as 'big', ICC as 'boss', and Indian cricket as 'passionate'. Maxwell also called ICC the 'boss' while describing BCCI as 'powerful' and Indian cricket as 'fanatic'. Carey described both the ICC and Indian cricket as 'powerful'.

However, the response from Steve Smith stood out among all with his hilarious and cheeky comparison. Smith called the BCCI the 'powerhouse' and then funnily went on to describe the ICC as 'not so powerful'. However, he immediately clarified that he could not say that and was just joking. He then described the ICC as the 'leaders'.

Steve Smith marks comeback in BGT 2024-25 with hard-fought hundred at The Gabba

Heading into the BGT 2024-25 series, Steve Smith was under pressure to perform after having a poor run in Tests. In the first two Tests in Perth and Adelaide, Smith failed to make a significant impact with the bat.

However, the veteran Australian batter bounced back in the third BGT 2024-25 Test at The Gabba. He stagged a stellar comeback with a hard-fought century. Smith scored 101 runs off 190 deliveries, including 12 boundaries. He was also part of a record partnership with Travis Head during his impressive innings.

Heading into the final two Tests of the series, Smith, now having found form, will be eager to carry on and put up similar displays in Melbourne and Sydney with the series (1-1) on the line.
