Gujarat cricketer Ravi Bishnoi produced a brilliant running catch to dismiss Karnataka's Manish Pandey during their Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) 2024 match on Thursday, December 5, at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore.

The wicket fell on the final ball of the fifth over of Karnataka's innings. Axar Patel bowled a full delivery outside off-stump, which Manish attempted to drive. Bishnoi, sprinting in from the long-off boundary, executed a spectacular catch to remove him. Manish scored 30 runs from 17 balls, including five boundaries and one six. His dismissal left Karnataka at 54 for one after five overs.

Here’s a video of the dismissal:

Chasing a daunting target of 252, Karnataka’s opening pair of Manish Pandey (30) and captain Mayank Agarwal (45) put on a solid 54-run stand. Krishnan Shrijith contributed 26, while Smaran Ravichandran played a brilliant knock of 49 off 21 balls, including one boundary and six sixes.

However, no other batter could provide substantial support as Karnataka slipped from 132/3 to 162/6. They were eventually bowled out for 203 in 19.1 overs, falling short by 48 runs. Ravi Bishnoi was the standout bowler for Gujarat, claiming three wickets, while Axar Patel and Arzan Nagwaswalla took two wickets each.
