India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been enjoying his time off in his hometown Jamnagar. He played a key role in India’s 2-0 win against Bangladesh in the recently concluded home Test series and headed home to enjoy a short break before India’s next home Test series vs New Zealand kicks off.

Jadeja scored a crucial 86 (124) in the first innings of the Test-series opener against Bangladesh in Chennai and backed it up with a brilliant bowling performance, registering 2/19 and 3/58 in the two innings respectively.

Ravindra Jadeja shared a few videos of him riding on one of his horses in his farm in Jamnagar.

Members of the Test squad have not been included in the T20I squad as Suryakumar Yadav has been leading the side for the three-match white-ball series. Players of the red-ball team will next be seen against New Zealand as the Kiwis are set to tour India for three Tests starting October 16 in Bengaluru.

India had a poor start to the first innings of the opening Test against Bangladesh in Chennai as Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Virat Kohli were dismissed inside 10 overs, registering scores of 6, 0, and 6, respectively.

After Yashasvi Jaiswal’s half-century and Rishabh Pant’s knock of 39 (52) to anchor India’s innings, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin took charge and changed the course of the game. While it looked difficult for the top and middle-order batters to get going, the two spin-bowling all-rounders shared a 199-run partnership for the seventh wicket.

While Ashwin got a century and scored 113 (133), Jadeja shone bright with a crucial 86 (124) as the duo powered India’s innings and helped the hosts post 376 runs on board. Jadeja then contributed well with the ball as Bangladesh were dismissed for 149 in the first innings.

Ashwin and Jadeja put up terrific performances in the second innings again, with the former finishing with a match-winning six-wicket haul (6/88) and the latter picking up three wickets. Bangladesh were dismissed for 234 while chasing a 515-run target as India clinched a 280-run win.
