Team India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja once again showcased his fielding brilliance with a sharp run-out to catch William O'Rourke short of his crease on Day 3 of the second Test against New Zealand. The dismissal sealed the end of the innings as the visitors folded for 255 to hand India a target of 359 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune.

The Men in Blue ramped things up after a poor start on Day 3. Ravindra Jadeja finally came into play with the ball to dismantle the New Zealand lower order. Glenn Phillips and William O'Rourke forged a last-wicket stand to add some valuable runs and stretch the lead.

On the fourth delivery of the 70th over, Phillips sliced the ball to deep point, where Washington Sundar failed to show the urgency to cut down the running to a single. Sensing this, Phillips signaled his partner for a second run as Sundar launched the throw from the deep.

O'Rourke expected to complete the run in time and was jogging his way, but Jadeja casually flicked the approaching ball onto the stumps instead of collecting it. The bails were off just in time as the bat was still on the crease to seal the final wicket.

Have a look at the dismissal right here:

Glenn Phillips remained stranded on 48 off 82 deliveries as William O'Rourke was run out for a duck.

Ravindra Jadeja finished with figures of 3-72 in the second innings

After a poor outing in the first innings, and a poor start the second time around, Jadeja got into the act on Day 3. He got the ball to grip and turn off the surface to make things uncomfortable for the New Zealand batters. The left-arm spinner accounted for the wickets of Tom Blundell, Mitchell Santner, and Ajaz Patel to accelerate the collapse.

Team India have commenced their attempt to keep their formidable home red-ball streak alive. Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal have taken the crease while Tim Southee will begin proceedings with the new ball.
