Former Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa hit a brilliant half-century for Chicago in the seventh National Cricket League T10 2024 match against the Texas Gladiators. The game was played on Monday, October 7, at the University of Texas Dallas Cricket Ground.
Chicago won the toss and elected to bat first. Former Kolkata Knight Riders openers Uthappa and Chris Lynn provided a great start to Chicago, forging a 112-run opening partnership in just 38 balls. Uthappa reached his fifty in a mere 22 balls and finished with 66 runs off 27 balls, featuring five fours and seven sixes.

Meanwhile, Lynn remained unbeaten on 60 off 23 balls, including three fours and seven sixes. He was well-supported by Mikyle Louis, who scored 34* off just 10 balls with two boundaries and four sixes, leading Chicago to 173 for two in their 10 overs. Usman Rafiq claimed two wickets for the Gladiators.

In response, Texas Gladiators openers Dawid Malan and Kennar Lewis got off to a strong start, accumulating 34 runs in the first two overs. However, Lewis was dismissed by Sohail Tanvir for 14 off six balls on the first ball of the third over. Soon after, Nick Kelly fell for just one run off three balls.
Malan scored 35 runs off 16 balls with five fours and two sixes. James Fuller followed with 37 runs off just 13 balls, featuring two fours and four sixes, before becoming Michael Leask's second wicket. Captain Wahab Riaz was dismissed for a golden duck, while Usman Rafiq contributed 11 runs off four balls.
Keemo Paul remained unbeaten on 23 runs off 15 balls but it wasn't sufficient. The Texas Gladiators concluded their innings at 132 for 6 in 10 overs, falling short by 41 runs. Leask took four wickets in his three-over spell.
