MS Dhoni's wife Sakshi decided to have some fun at her husband's cake-cutting birthday celebration, playfully touching the Indian legend's feet. The former Indian captain turned 43 on Sunday, July 7.

On the special occasion, Dhoni cut his birthday cake during what seemed like a family function. After the keeper-batter had cut the cake, Mr and Mrs Dhoni fed a piece to each other.

In a light-hearted moment that followed, Sakshi touched the former India keeper-batter's feet. Dhoni reacted by giving her his blessings. In Indian tradition, wives touch their husband's feet to seek their blessings.

Sakshi shared the cute video of Dhoni's cake-cutting celebration on his 43rd birthday with the caption:

"Happy Birthday @mahi7781 ❤️🧿🫶🏻 ."

The post was uploaded with the famous 'Thalaivar Alappara' song from Rajinikanth's movie 'Jailer'. It is no secret in the cricketing world that Dhoni has a massive fan following in Tamil Nadu due to his legendary association with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is lovingly referred to as Thala [head or leader in Tamil] by Chennai fans.

MS Dhoni made a cheeky comment at Anant Ambani's sangeet ceremony when reminded of his birthday

Dhoni and Sakshi were among the many celebrities who attended the sangeet ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai on Friday, July 5. At the grand function, the cricket legend was reminded by a mediaperson of his upcoming birthday.

The comment was made while the Jharkhand-born cricket was posing with his wife. On hearing the remark that his birthday was coming up, Dhoni, who is known for his witty ways, cheekily replied:

"Gift leke aana [Bring a gift]."

Dhoni is regarded as one of the greatest white-ball cricketers of all time. In 350 ODIs, he amassed 10773 runs at an average of 50.57 and a strike rate of 87.56, with 10 and 73 fifties. He remains the only captain to win all three ICC titles in limited overs cricket.

The stumper led the Men in Blue to victory in the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007 in South Africa. He was the Player of the Match in the final for his 91* as India won the 2011 ODI World Cup. Under Dhoni, India also won the Champions Trophy in 2013. He has also guided CSK to five IPL titles.
