[Watch] Shikhar Dhawan's father gives savage response when asked for permission for 2nd marriage

Former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan is well known for his hilarious social media clips. Dhawan posted another light-hearted reel on his Instagram account on January 8, featuring his father Mahendra Pal Dhawan.

In the latest reel shared by the former India opener, he jokingly tells his father that he wants to get married again. Hilariously, Shikhar's father replies that they had to hide his face to get the girl's approval for the first marriage.

"Papa, me dusri shaadi karna chahata hu (I want to get married again dad)," Shikhar says.

"Humne tera pehla vyaah hi muh pe helmet baandh ke karaya hai (We got you married the first time by hiding your face inside a helmet)," his father replies hilariously.

"Itna bura dikhta hu, batao mujhe?! (Do I look that bad? tell me)," Dhawan captioned the video on Instagram.

The former India opener had divorced ex-wife Aesha Mukerji in 2023.

Dhawan announced retirement from all formats of cricket in 2024. While some fans felt that the former Punjab Kings captain would continue playing in the IPL, he clarified that he had no inspiration left to play in the domestic leagues.

The left-handed opener lately competed in Legends League Cricket, Nepal Premier League and Big Cricket League. Although he has looked in good touch, he will not feature in the IPL. Dhawan made his IPL debut in 2008 and played every season. 2025 will be the first IPL season without Dhawan.
