Virat Kohli was dismissed for 17 off 37 in India's second innings on Day 2 of the first Test against Bangladesh at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday, September 20. The ace batter was given out lbw to Mehidy Hasan Miraz. Kohli decided against reviewing the decision, only for UltraEdge to show a spike later.

A video is now going viral on social media in which Shubman Gill is seen urging Kohli to go for the review, but the senior batter decides against it and walks off. Team India captain Rohit Sharma's stunned reaction over the DRS incident has also gone viral.

In the 20th over of India's second innings, Kohli attempted to flick a full delivery from Bangladesh off-spinner Mehidy Hasan through the on-side. The right-handed batter, however, ended up being struck on the front foot. The Bangladesh players went up in appeal and the on-field umpire raised his finger.

As the visitors celebrated the big scalp, Kohli went down to have a chat with the non-striker Gill. In the clip, the latter can be seen telling his senior partner to go for the review. However, the former India captain decided against doing so, which, in hindsight, ended up being the wrong move.

Kohli was the third wicket to fall in India's second innings

Kohli hit only two fours in his second-innings knock before perishing to Mehidy Hasan. He was the third wicket to fall in the innings. Earlier, Indian captain Rohit was dismissed for five, caught in the slip cordon off Taskin Ahmed. Yashasvi Jaiswal (10) then nicked one off Nahid Rana.

The hosts went to stumps on Day 2 at 81-3 after 23 overs. Gill returned unbeaten on 33 off 64 balls, while keeper-batter Rishabh Pant was giving him company on 12 off 13 deliveries. India have an overall lead of 308 runs after 17 wickets fell on Day 2 of the Chepauk Test.

Resuming their first innings on 339-6, India were bowled out for 376 in their first innings. Pacer Jasprit Bumrah then starred with 4-50, while Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep, and Ravindra Jadeja chipped in with two scalps apiece as Bangladesh were bundled out for 149 in 47.1 overs.
