Mitchell Starc and Yashasvi Jaiswal were at it again during the second session on Day 5 of the Boxing Day Test between India and Australia. The left-arm pacer switched the bails in an attempt to manifest a breakthrough for his side. However, the opening batter immediately restored the bails as it was, then went on to indulge in some banter from the non-striker's end.

After a probing first session, in which Australia did not give anything away and snared three wickets, India responded with a positive approach after Lunch. Rishabh Pant and Yashasvi Jaiswal were making things happen, making Australia desperate for a wicket, and breaking the threatening partnership.

During the 33rd over of the innings, Starc switched the bails after bowling the second ball and making his way to the top of the bowling mark. Jaiswal immediately switched them again as soon as the bowler turned his back.

Have a look at the incident right here:

Their banter began when Starc asked Jaiswal whether he believed in superstition.

"Superstitious, mate?" Starc queried.
"I believe in myself. That is why I am here. I am just enjoying this moment of my life," Jaiswal replied.

Earlier in the series, Mohammed Siraj and Marnus Labuschagne were involved in the bail-switching act. While the Australian batter did not lose his wicket to it, India got a breakthrough with Usman Khawaja's wicket.

Starc and Jaiswal have had a bit of history against each other, right from the series opener in Perth. The Indian youngster had remarked that the speedster was bowling too slow during the second innings. Starc responded by dismissing Yashasvi Jaiswal for a duck in the next Test at the Adelaide Oval, and also at The Gabba.

Yashasvi Jaiswal scores fifties in both innings of the Boxing Day Test

After a brilliant fifty in the second innings, which came to an unfortunate end through a run-out, Jaiswal has begun from where he left off. The opening batter looked solid and came out strong after dropping three chances on the field during the second innings.

After a solid 118-ball vigil in the first innings, Jaiswal has replicated the feat in the second innings and is still going strong. As of writing, he is unbeaten on 59 runs off 143 balls. Team India are placed at 95-3 after 44 overs, with the target still 245 runs away.
