The first batch of Team India left Mumbai for Australia ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The tourists are set to play a five-match series, which begins in Perth from November 22.

In a video shared by news agency ANI, several Indian players were seen coming out of the team bus. Namely, they were Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj, Washington Sundar, and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Take a look at the video:

Jaiswal will have a huge role to play in the Test series. The left-handed batter is the leading run-scorer for India in the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) cycle. He has amassed 1,407 runs in 14 Tests (26 innings) at an average of 56.28, hitting two double centuries. He is only behind former England captain Joe Root (1, 750) on the elite list.

Meanwhile, Siraj and Sundar will be looking to continue their heroics in Australia. Siraj picked up 13 wickets, including a five-wicket haul, in three Tests during the 2020-21 series, where India won by a 2-1 margin.

On the other hand, Sundar had played only one Test in Gabba, where he scalped four wickets and scored 84 runs. India won the game by three wickets to seal the series and register a consecutive series win down under.

However, Akash Deep will play his first Test series down under. He has scalped 10 wickets in five games since his debut against England earlier this year.
