Team India skipper Suryakumar Yadav handed the series trophy to all-rounder Ramandeep Singh, who debuted in the T20I series against South Africa. India won the four-match series 3-1.
Ramandeep made his debut in the third T20I of the series at the SuperSport Park, Centurion, replacing Avesh Khan. He walked out to bat at No. 7 and smashed a six off the first ball to open his account in international cricket.
He matched his skipper and former IPL teammate Suryakumar Yadav, with both holding the record of smashing a six off their first delivery in international cricket. In the series finale, the 27-year-old was given the ball and he claimed his first international wicket - Lutho Sipamla.
During the presentation ceremony, Team India's T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav took the trophy and handed it to Ramandeep Singh, with Vijaykumar Vyshak and Yash Dayal standing next to him. This was a tradition that MS Dhoni followed and passed on to captains over the years, with the youngest member of the side being presented with the trophy.
