West Indies pacer Oshane Thomas had a dismal outing in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024-25 on Tuesday, December 31. Playing for Khulna Tigers, he conceded 15 runs off a single ball in the side's opening fixture of the season against Chittagong Kings in Dhaka.
The Tigers registered an impressive 203-run total after being asked to bat first. Bowling the first over of the run chase, Thomas didn't have an ideal start. He kicked off the proceedings by getting Naseem Islam caught at mid-off, but it was called a no-ball.
While he bowled a dot ball on the free hit, Thomas followed it up with another no-ball that went for a six. To make matters worse, he bowled two back-to-back wides and another no-ball that raced away to the fence for a four, giving away 15 runs off one ball.

Khulna Tigers opener William Bosisto shone with the bat in their opening match of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League against Chittagong Kings. The Australian batter remained unbeaten on 75 off 50 balls.
Wicketkeeper-batter Mahidul Islam Ankon also chipped in with a quick-fire 59*-run knock in 22 balls, helping his team register 203/4 after 20 overs. Despite Oshane Thomas' unusual start, the Khulna-based side ultimately secured a 37-run victory.
Shamim Hossain was the lone warrior for Chittagong in the run chase, amassing 78 runs off just 38 deliveries. However, he didn't get enough support from the remaining batters.
For Khulna, Abu Hider Rony picked up four wickets, while Pakistani left-arm spinner Mohammad Nawaz finished with impressive figures of 3-0-13-2.
