Veteran Indian cricketer Virat Kohli took a moment to bring smiles to young faces by signing autographs for kids outside the team hotel in Adelaide. The 36-year-old had recently been in action during the second (pink-ball) Test of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Kohli played a stellar role in the first Test, scoring an unbeaten 100 in the second innings as the visitors secured a commanding 295-run victory. However, his performance in the second Test did not meet expectations, as he scored 7 and 11 in the two innings, with India suffering a heavy 10-wicket loss within three days.
However, Kohli recently made the day for some young fans by signing autographs as he left the team hotel, with the crowd cheering, "King Kohli."

Virat Kohli has struggled in Test cricket in recent years
While Virat Kohli remains India's fourth-highest run-scorer in Test cricket, with 9,163 runs in 120 matches at an average of 47.72, including 31 fifties and 30 centuries, his form has seen a significant decline in recent years.
His struggles began in 2021, when he managed only 536 runs in 11 matches at a modest average of 28.21, without scoring a century. In 2022, he scored 265 runs in six games at an average of 26.50.
However, 2023 marked a turnaround, as Kohli regained form, accumulating 671 runs in eight matches at an average of 55.91, including two centuries.
Unfortunately, 2024 has seen another dip in his performance, with just 373 runs in eight games at an average of 26.64. Before 2021, Kohli had an impressive Test average of 53.42, which has now dropped to 47.72.
Fans will be hoping that the star batter can find his form again in the remaining matches of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
