Team India's ace batter Virat Kohli was at his entertaining best on the field during Day 3 (Saturday, September 21) of their Test series opener in Chennai. The seasoned campaigner left the crown in splits by doing a 'Naagin' move.

The video of the incident was shared by one of Kohli's fan clubs on the microblogging platform X and it has since gone viral on social media. You can watch the clip below:

Virat Kohli failed to score big with the bat in the ongoing Chennai Test. The right-handed batter was dismissed for just 6 runs in the first innings. He failed to make amends in the subsequent essay, getting out LBW for 17.

It is worth mentioning that Kohli decided against taking a review after being given out by the on-field umpire in the second innings. However, replays suggested that the ball had hit the inside edge of his bat before hitting the pad.

"Don’t be afraid to go over the top" - Ravi Shastri's suggestion to Virat Kohli

Former India head coach Ravi Shastri pointed out how Virat Kohli has gotten out against off spinners a lot of times in the last few years. He opined that the player needed to make a few changes to his approach while countering spin.

Shastri reckoned that Kohli should try to use his feet and play lofted shots to unsettle the spinners. While being on-air during his commentary stint in the Chennai Test, he said:

"He has [gotten out to spinners] especially in the last 2-3 years. But he has scored a lot of runs too. What you want to see him do more is use his feet. Get to the pitch of the ball, probably employ the sweep.
"You’ve got to move with the times, don’t be afraid to go over the top when the field is up. You could try and do things to unsettle the spinners rather than allowing him to keep bowling at you. It’s what he did a lot when he scored a lot of runs."

Virat Kohli seems determined to bounce back in the second Test as he was seen sweating it out in the nets at Chepauk after his back-to-back failures.
