Former India captain Virat Kohli has debuted a new look with a fresh haircut ahead of the fourth Test of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT), scheduled to begin on Thursday, December 26, in Melbourne. The Delhi-born cricketer was last seen this week during the third Test of the series in Brisbane.

India won the toss and decided to bowl first in a rain-affected match. Centuries from Steven Smith (101) and Travis Head (152) helped Australia reach 445. In reply, India could only muster 260, with Kohli having a frustrating outing, managing just three runs.

Australia declared their second innings at 89-7, setting a target of 275 runs. The match ended in a draw, with India at 8-0, as rain ultimately had the final say.

Now, ahead of the eagerly awaited Boxing Day Test, Kohli has unveiled a new haircut. Renowned hairstylist Jordan Tabakman shared a video of the transformation on Instagram, captioning the post:

“The Kings new crown. @virat.kohli always a pleasure my man.”

Kohli has had a challenging series so far, scoring only 126 runs across five innings, with his highest being an unbeaten 100.

“I've enjoyed every bit of the journey with you” - Virat Kohli’s message on R. Ashwin’s retirement

During a rain break on Day 5 of the third match of the 2024-25 BGT, Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin were seen having an emotional conversation. Kohli also embraced the spinner at that moment.

Later, it was revealed in the post-match conference, when Ashwin joined captain Rohit Sharma, that he was retiring from international cricket.

Reacting to the announcement, Kohli shared an emotional post on X, writing:

“I've played with you for 14 years and when you told me today you're retiring, it made me a bit emotional and the flashbacks of all those years playing together came to me. I've enjoyed every bit of the journey with you ash, your skill and match-winning contributions to Indian cricket as second to none and you will always and always be remembered as a legend of Indian cricket.”
“Wish you nothing but the best in your life with your family and everything else that it unfolds for you. With massive respect and lots of love to you and your close ones. Thanks for everything buddy,” he added.

Ashwin took 765 wickets for India across all formats in 287 matches.
