Will Jacks starred with the bat as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) beat Gujarat Titans (GT) by nine wickets in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, April 28.

Jacks smashed an unbeaten 100 off 41 balls in an innings featuring 10 sixes and five boundaries. The right-handed batter shared an unbeaten 166-run partnership with Virat Kohli for the second wicket as he took the team past the finish line.

Mohit Sharma and Rashid Khan leaked 29 runs each in the 15th and 16th overs, respectively, as Jacks helped his side chase down 201 with 24 balls to spare to keep RCB alive in the race to the playoffs.

The England all-rounder smashed three sixes and two boundaries off Mohit before taking on Rashid in the next over, hitting four maximums and a boundary. The 25-year-old smashed consecutive sixes to get to his IPL century.

Will Jacks and Virat Kohli help RCB chase down 201 against GT in IPL 2024 match

A clinical batting display from Will Jacks and Virat Kohli was enough for RCB to secure a nine-wicket win over GT in the IPL on Sunday. Kohli stayed unbeaten on 70 runs off 44 deliveries with the help of three sixes and six boundaries. Captain Faf du Plessis scored 24 off 12 balls. Sai Kishore took the solitary wicket for GT.

Asked to bat first, the Titans posted 200/3 in their allotted 20 overs. Sai Sudharsan starred with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 84 off 49, including four sixes and eight boundaries. Shahrukh Khan also smashed 58 off 30, hitting five sixes and three fours. David Miller also chipped in with an unbeaten 26 off 19.

Glenn Maxwell, Swapnil Singh, and Mohammed Siraj bagged one wicket each for the visitors.

With the win, RCB registered their third win of the season in the 10th game. They, however, stay last in the points table. Interestingly, GT too stayed seventh despite losing to Bengaluru, with four wins in six games.
