Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal made his intentions clear by launching a massive six on the second ball of India’s second innings on Day 3 (Saturday, October 26) of the second Test against New Zealand. The match is being played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.

Tim Southee bowled a length delivery targeting the stumps and Jaiswal expertly shuffled in to launch a powerful slog over deep square leg for six.

Here’s a video of the maximum:

Chasing a target of 359, the hosts lost their captain Rohit Sharma for just eight runs to Mitchell Santner. Jaiswal has been impressive, forging an unbeaten 47-run partnership off 38 balls for the second wicket with Shubman Gill.

At Lunch on Day 3, India were 81 for one, needing another 278 runs to win, with Jaiswal on 46 and Gill on 22.
