Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya's son Agastya is celebrating his fourth birthday on Tuesday, July 30. The cricket star shared a heartfelt note on social media on his little one's special day.
Taking to his official Instagram handle, Hardik shared a video of him playing with his son. Wishing Agastya a happy birthday, he wrote:
"You keep me going every single day! Happy birthday to my partner in crime, my whole heart, my Agu ❤️ Love you beyond words."
Hardik Pandya and Natasa Stankovic tied the knot on May 31, 2020 and were blessed with a baby boy on July 30 of the same year. The couple renewed their wedding vows on February 14, 2023, with a grand ceremony in Udaipur.
However, after four years of marriage, Hardik and Natasa announced their separation earlier this year by releasing a joint statement on social media.
On the cricketing front, Hardk is currently part of India's squad for the ongoing three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. He will be seen in action on Tuesday, July 30, during the final fixture of the rubber. India have already pocketed the series by taking an unassailable 2-0 lead.
"We will co-parent to ensure that we give him everything that we can for his happiness" - Hardik Pandya and Natasa Stankovic on Agastya
On July 18, Hardik Pandya confirmed that Natasa Stankovic and him are separating after four years of marriage. He mentioned that they mutually decided to part ways.
Hardik emphasized that the two would co-parent their son Agastya, making sure that he gets everything. The 30-year-old wrote:
"After 4 years of being together, Natasa and I have decided to mutually part ways. We tried our best together and gave it our all, and we believe this is in the best interest for the both of us. This was a tough decision for us to make, given the joy, mutual respect and companionship we enjoyed together and as we grew a family."
"We are blessed with Agastya, who will continue to be at the centre of both our lives and we will co-parent to ensure that we give him everything that we can for his happiness. We sincerely request your support and understanding to give us the privacy during this difficult and sensitive time."
Hardik Pandya was India's vice-captain in the 2024 T20 World Cup-winning campaign. He was expected to take over the reins from Rohit Sharma, who announced his retirement from T20Is after the showpiece event. However, the team management looked in another direction, roping in Suryakumar Yadav as the new T20I skipper.
