Former India captain MS Dhoni was recently asked to share the best compliment he has ever received. The legendary wicket-keeper hilariously suggested that his wife saying he's done alright in his life was the most flattering remark for him.

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star made those comments on the show Eurogrip Tread Talks. Suggesting that everyone's main aim is to impress their wives, the 2011 World Cup-winning skipper said:

"A lot of people have complimented me, but my wife saying, 'You have done alright in life', that's a big compliment. She doesn't give a lot of compliments. We are all trying to impress our wives."

It is worth mentioning that MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi attended the same school in Ranchi. However, they never crossed paths during their school days. They met when Sakshi was interning at a hotel and started dating in 2008. The couple tied the knot in 2010. They were blessed with a baby girl, Ziva, in 2015.

"I am not fit as I used to be" - MS Dhoni on his fitness ahead of IPL 2025

While MS Dhoni retired from international cricket in August 2020, he continues to ply his trade for CSK in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The seasoned campaigner is set to feature in the upcoming edition as well after being retained by the franchise at ₹4 crore as an uncapped player.

The 43-year-old stated that his fitness level isn't how it was during his younger days. Suggesting that playing different sports and working out in the gym has helped him remain in shape following his international retirement, Dhoni said in the aforementioned show:

"I am not fit as I used to be, lot of efforts now needs to be there on what you are eating and I am doing very specific thing to be fit for cricket. We are not fast bowlers so our requirements are not that intense.
"What really helps me is playing a lot of sports in between eating and going to the gym. So whenever I get time I like to play a lot of different sports, may be tennis, badminton, football, that keeps me engaged. That’s the best way of being in touch with fitness."

MS Dhoni batted at No. 8 for CSK for the most part of IPL 2024. He dazzled the viewers with his explosive cameos, finishing with 161 runs at a strike rate of 220.54.
