India went down to Australia by six wickets in the fifth and final Test of the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Sunday, January 5. Resuming their second innings on 141-6, they were bowled out for 157. The Aussies then chased down a target of 162 in just 27 overs.

With the win at the SCG, Australia captured the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after a decade, taking the series 3-1. India got off to an excellent start in the series, thumping the hosts by 295 runs in Perth. However, Australia hit back with a clinical 10-wicket victory in the day-night Test in Adelaide. They also won the Boxing Day Test by 184 runs before registering a series-clinching win in Sydney.

Having failed to qualify for the World Test Championship (WTC) final, Team India will now look to put up a good performance in the upcoming T20I series against England at home, which begins on January 22.

India vs England 2025 T20Is: Full Schedule

The India vs England T20I series will begin with the first match at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata on January 22. The game will begin at 7:00 PM IST. The second T20I of the five-match series will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on January 25.

The next three matches of the T20I series will be played in Rajkot, Pune and Mumbai respectively. The third match will be held at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium on January 28 and the fourth at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium on January 31. The T20I series will conclude with the final match of the series at the Wankhede Stadium on February 2.
