Women's Big Bash League 2023 Top run-getters and wicket-takers after Sydney Thunder vs Melbourne Renegades (Updated) ft. Chamari Athapaththu

Sydney Thunder faced Melbourne Renegades in the 11th game of the Women's Big Bash League 2023 on Thursday, October 26, at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Thunder won the toss and elected to bowl. Renegades lost their first four wickets for 62 and looked in trouble. Courtney Webb and Georgia Wareham added 78 for the fifth wicket to take the team to 147-5.

Marizanne Kapp, Chamari Athapaththu, Hannah Darlington and Ebony Hoskin picked up one wicket apiece for the Thunder.

Thunder had an electrifying start to their chase, as their openers added 99 in 11.2 overs. Athapaththubalmost single-handedly took the team over the line with her knock of 80 off 54. Thunder won in 17.3 overs with eight wickets in hand.

Georgia Wareham picked both Thunder wickets, giving away 23 in four overs.
