Women's T20 World Cup 2024 Most Wickets List Updated after Match 2

Pakistan and Sri Lanka locked horns in Match 2 of the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Thursday, October 3.

Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first. Skipper Fatima Sana top-scored with 30 while former captain Nida Dar made 23 off 22 balls. Omaima Sohail (18), Sidra Amin (12), and Muneeba Ali (11) also made handy contributions to set a modest 117-run target. Udeshika Prabodhani, Sugandika Kumari, and Sri Lankan captain Chamari Athapaththu secured three wickets each.

In reply, Pakistan limited Sri Lanka to 85 for nine with Nilakshika Silva (22) and Vishmi Gunaratne (20) being the only batters to reach double digits. Sadia Iqbal took a three-wicket haul while Fatima, Omaima, and Nashra Sandhu chipped in two wickets apiece.

After the conclusion of the second match, Scotland’s Sarah Bryce is still placed at the top with 49 runs. Sobhana Mostary of Bangladesh also held on to her second spot with 36 runs.

Fatima Sana scored a run-a-ball 30 and occupies third position. Bangladesh opener Shathi Rani (29) slipped to fourth while the most capped T20I player for Pakistan, Nida Dar is fifth with 23 runs.

Sri Lankan duo Nilakshika Silva (22) and Vishmi Gunaratne (20) occupy the next two spots. Meanwhile, Bangladesh skipper Nigar Sultana and Pakistan’s Omaima Sohail are eighth and ninth, respectively, both having scored 18 runs.

Sidra Amin and Murshida Khatun jointly hold the 10th spot with 12 runs each.
