The Women's Tri-Series 2024 is a three-side ODI series between Netherlands Women, Papua New Guinea Women, and Scotland Women. The Tri-series is scheduled from August 5 to August 12, 2024. A total of six matches will be played with the first two at the Sportpark Maarschalkerweerd in Utrecht and the remaining at VRA Ground in Amstelveen.

Papua New Guinea and the Netherlands met in the first match of the Women's Tri-Series 2024 on August 5, 2024 Netherlands Women currently stand at the top of the Women's Tri-Series 2024 Points Table. They defeated Papua New Guinea Women in the opening game by three wickets. They boast a net run rate of +1.049.

Scotland Women, who ranked second will face Papua New Guinea on Tuesday (August 6). Meanwhile, Papua New Guinea are placed third in the points table after their previous loss. They will be eyeing to make a strong comeback in the upcoming game.


Robine Rijke's match-winning knock leads the Netherlands to Tri-Series opener victory

Netherlands Women won the toss and elected to field first. Naoani Vare, the Papua New Guinea opener provided a slow start with a 46-ball 21-run knock. Her opening partner, captain, and wicket-keeper batter Brenda Tau was bowled for three runs in 15 deliveries.

Tanya Ruma and Sibona Jimmy also couldn’t perform as Ruma was dismissed for a duck while Jimmy scored five run-a-ball. Pauke Siaka scored 26 runs off 37 balls to maintain the run rate. Henao Thomas also backed her with a 32-ball 30, featuring six fours, while Vicky Araa added 16(24), and Geua Tom contributed 14(21) in the lower order.

Iris Zwilling and Hannah Landheer chipped in three wickets while Caroline de Lange took two and Silver Siegers picked up one to bundle out New Guinea to 148 in 35.3 overs.

In reply, the Netherlands lost their top order inside four overs. However, Robine Rijke, who batted at no.4, smashed an important 75-ball 60-run knock with six boundaries to keep the side in a commanding position. Annemijn Thomson scored 10 while Frederique Overdijk and Eva Lynch added 16 and 17 runs each to comfortably chase the target in 37.1 overs.

Vicky Buruka, Geua Tom, and Isabel Toua claimed two wickets for Papua New Guinea while Pauke Siaka took one.
