South Africa elected to bowl first after winning the toss in the fifth match of the World Championship of Legends 2024 against Australia. A collective batting effort helped the Aussies post 230 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Aaron Finch and Shaun Marsh scored 49 runs each while JP Duminy and Ryan McLaren took two wickets each for the Proteas.
In reply, the South African batters struggled and could only muster 126 runs for the loss of nine wickets as Australia won the match by 104 runs. Nathan Coulter-Nile and Xavier Doherty took three wickets each, with the former winning the Player of the Match award.
In the sixth match, the West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl against India. Gurkeerat Singh Mann led India's batting unit with his 86-run knock off 42 deliveries as they posted 229 runs for the loss of five wickets. Tino Best was the pick of the bowlers for the West Indies, taking two wickets for 41 runs in four overs.
In reply, West Indies scored 31 runs for the loss of one wicket before the match got interrupted due to rain. India won by 27 runs by the DLS method, with Mann winning the Player of the Match award.
