Axar Patel will look to get back into the Indian side

Axar Patel was one of the most promising youngsters a year ago. His ability to bowl tight lines without giving away much to the batsman impressed everyone. But with time and emergence of other spinners like Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav, Patel has gone off the radar.

He went for plenty in the only match he played on the tour of South Africa. The Gujarat all-rounder is an integral part of India's limited-overs set-up and the team management will want to give him more opportunities to let him get his confidence back.

Patel can replace Chahal, who has had a decent series so far but has been inconsistent with his line and lengths and has often been found guilty of bowling short. A break might help Chahal rethink his bowling plans.
