#2 Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2017: -1.299
At number 2, we have the Royal Challengers Bangalore again. After a complete revamp in 2011, the RCB side enjoyed a good time for a few years until 2017. 2017 saw RCB hit a new low as the Bengaluru side finished 8th in the tournament.
Too many injuries and unavailability of the players hurt the Virat Kohli side. The skipper himself was unavailable for the first leg of the tournament, owing to a shoulder injury. AB de Villiers too missed a few games while KL Rahul missed the entire tournament due to an injury.
RCB never got going in the 10th edition of the IPL as the Karnataka based side could muster only 3 wins in 14 games. In the tournament, a total of 1845 runs in 260 overs were scored by RCB while a total of 2033 in 242.1 overs were scored against them. RCB finished with an NRR of -1.299
Trivia: RCB is also the only side to feature twice even in the list of “Top 5 teams with Highest NRR” category
