Stuart Broad took a wicket in his first over in the last session to become the 15th bowler to take 400 wickets or more in test cricket.

It was the only shining point in an otherwise dull day for the English.

English bowlers started off well but they lacked the nip and swing which the Kiwi duo got. Deprived of that late swing even in the night session the bowlers bowled just a tad short to limit run scoring.
