India and Sri Lanka contested one match of the series in Kingston where Sri Lankan opener Upul Tharanga smashed a career best of 174* as Sri Lanka posted a goliath total of 348-1 at the end of their 50 overs. Tharanga was in the company of Mahela Jayawardene who scored a ton as well. The Sri Lankan opener smashed Indian bowlers all around the park as his innings consisted of 15 fours and 3 sixes. The match ended in humiliation for team India as Sri Lanka won by 161 runs.
