Manish Pandey who was bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for 11 Crore was expected to solve their middle order woes. Pandey never looked settled as he struggled to score runs at the required rate for the Hyderabad based franchise.

In the fifteen matches that he played so far this season, he could manage 284 runs but his strike rate of 115.44 which is lowest for any batsman with more than 100 runs.

Sunrisers were disappointed by the performance of their middle order this season. Pandey could not play the role of the key batsman in the middle order a might as well get sacked for his lacklustre performances as youngsters like Deepak Hooda are waiting on the sidelines to get their chance.
