The Perth Scorchers, who have been the team to beat throughout the history of the BBL, were very lackluster this time around and never went above the bottom half of the table. One thing that hurt Scorchers was the chopping and changing of the leadership.

The captaincy mantle kept switching between Mitchell Marsh and Ashton Turner, and neither of them yielded desirable results for the Scorchers. Considering this, there wouldn't have been a better choice than the legend MS Dhoni himself.

Dhoni's presence would have completed this team's jigsaw puzzle as he is one of the best captains the game has ever seen.

Virat Kohli has been India's most reliable T20 batsman for quite a long time. His consistency in this format is phenomenal, and has left everyone in awe.

Moreover, Adelaide has always been a happy hunting ground for King Kohli.

The Adelaide Strikers are a formidable unit overall but have had their fair share of middle-order issues. The Strikers would have definitely loved to have Kohli in their ranks as his inclusion would solidify their wobbly middle-order.

That said, it doesn't matter for which team he turns out; the Australian cricket fans would just hope that Kohli plays the BBL some day.
