IPL 2019 Auction: One released player each franchise should buy

The Rajasthan Royals played out of their skins last year to reach the playoffs with a depleted squad. But it seems that the team management is not too happy with their squad as they have released as many as 10 players. One of the most expensive signings of last year Jaydev Unadkat who was bought for a massive price tag of Rs 11.5 cr has also been released. This has left their pace bowling department looking paper thin with only Dhawal Kulkarni as the experienced fast bowler.

Rajasthan can fill that void in the pace bowling department by going after Mohammed Shami at the auctions. Shami was released by the Delhi Daredevils after a dismal show in the 2018 edition of the IPL.

However, he is a proven match winner with tons of experience. The fact that Shami is a wicket-taking bowler makes him a hot property at the auctions. With the IPL likely to be held in South Africa where the conditions are conducive to seam bowling, the Royals should make him their prime target at the auctions if they are to pose any sort of title challenge.
