Avesh Khan was a part of 2014 and 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He was India's highest wicket-taker with 12 wickets in the tournament. His impressive performances in the first-class cricket helped him to get the IPL contract with Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2017. He could appear in only one game for Royal Challengers before moving to Delhi Daredevils in 2018.

But, he struggled a bit and could pick up just four wickets in 6 games at an average of 51 and at an economy of 10.73. He was also in poor form when he represented Madhya Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018. The Delhi-based IPL franchise should release him from the squad and look to buy an experienced bowler to increase the bowling strength.
