#2 They have nothing to lose without him

With a loss in their first five matches of the season, RCB does not have anything to lose hereafter. They have been facing exceedingly humiliating defeats both at home and away. There is a maximum probability of the side ending up as the wooden spoon holders.
The team scored just 70 in the opening match against CSK. They had no answer for Warner and Bairstow's carnage opening partnership at Hyderabad. Even 200+ were not sufficient for them to defend against KKR.
What would go more destructive for them than this? Absolutely nothing. Also, they don't need Virat Kohli anymore. He did his best for them, but there is something wrong with the rest of the team. It has to be found out what exactly is wrong with them.
As Virat is the central player of the side, his absence would be an interesting experiment. The team's weaknesses would get further exposed without him and they can know the area in which each individual need to strengthen themselves.
Even if Virat continues to play, the maximum effort he puts isn't going to yield any different results. Thus, he should be asked by the management to rest and mentor them in the background for this season.
