Parvez Rasool sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah revealed on his Twitter account that he was delighted for spinner Parvez Rasool, as he was picked up by Sunrisers Hyderabad on the 2nd day of the 2014 IPL auctions. Hyderabad bought Rasool for 95 Lakhs in the auction house.

Omar Abdullah tweeted, “Very pleased to hear Parvez Rasool has been picked up by Sunrisers Hyderabad for #IPL7 Here’s hoping he gets more games than when with Pune.”

Rasool, previously a Pune Warrior, featured only twice in last season’s IPL, picking up 1 wicket in the process.

Omar Abdullah follows cricket closely and was disappointed when Rasool did not play a single game despite being selected in the Indian team that toured Zimbabwe last year.
