5. Ravikumar Samarth

As an opening batsman, Samarth has been the top scorer for Karnataka in the last couple of seasons. His stupendous performance in 2017 caught the selectors' eye and he was roped in place of the injured Abhinav Mukund for the India A side.

Samarth had a good outing in the last Ranji season as well wherein he piled up 652 runs at an impressive average of 59.27. His exploits with the bat ensured that Karnataka reached the semifinals of the Ranji trophy and won the Vijay Hazare trophy a few months later.
