ICC Women's T20I Cricketer of the Year
2018 saw the ICC hosting the sixth edition of women's ICC World Cup and Australia, as expected, went on to win the tournament that took place in the Carribean islands.
One of the main reasons why the Southern Stars went on to win their fourth T20 World Cup crown was their wicketkeeper and opening bat Alyssa Healy. The tournament saw Healy score 225 runs in five innings at an average of 56.25 and a strike-rate of 144.23 with two fifties.
Her influence in the Australian batting was very crucial as she gave her team a great start on every single occasion and in the only match Australia lost, she did not come out to bat. With some fantastic batting performances throughout the tournament, she has rightly adjudged the Player of the Tournament.
For helping her team win the World Cup, Alyssa Healy could be named the ICC Women's T20I Cricketer of the Year award ahead of the likes of Suzie Bates, Harmanpreet Kaur, Poonam Yadav etc.
