President’s Cup Grade-1 2025: Full schedule, squads and match timings

The fifth edition of the President’s Cup Grade-1, organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has commenced on January 8 and will conclude on April 12. This premier List A cricket tournament showcases a blend of seasoned professionals and emerging talents. Over the course of the competition, 37 matches, including the final, will be played across six venues in Karachi.

The tournament features nine participating teams: Pakistan Television, Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited, Oil & Gas Development Company Limited, State Bank of Pakistan, Khan Research Laboratories, Water and Power Development Authority, Higher Education Commission, Eshaal Associates, and Ghani Glass.

Each team will compete in nine rounds, with four matches being played in each round of the league stage. The top two teams will advance to the final, while the bottom two teams will face relegation to the President’s Trophy Grade-2. The final match offers a prize pool of PKR 8 million.

Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited, the most successful team in the tournament's history with three title wins, faced Pakistan Television in the opening match at the HPC Oval Ground. In the previous edition, the State Bank of Pakistan claimed victory against the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited in a closely contested final.

The President’s Cup Grade-1 will also feature several renowned international players, including Saud Shakeel, Mohammed Rizwan, Mohammad Irfan, Abid Ali, Shahnawaz Dahani, Bilawal Bhatti, Fawad Alam, Usama Mir, and Irfan Khan. Their participation adds further prestige and excitement to the competition, elevating the level of play and providing invaluable exposure to emerging cricketers.

This year’s tournament promises a thrilling season of competitive cricket, emphasizing the dual objectives of nurturing young talents and offering a platform for seasoned professionals to showcase their skills.
