Rahul Sharma and Wayne Parnell tested positive for drugs

Indian leg-spinner Rahul Sharma and South Africa’s medium pace all-rounder Wayne Parnell have been test positive for using drugs at the Rave party that was happened at Oakwood Premier Hotel at Juhu earlier this year during IPL .

Earlier both these players disavowed the allegations asserted against them. “We weren’t aware of any drugs there or any rave party. It is unfortunate we were there. But at the end of the day, it was just a simple case of being at a wrong place at the wrong time,” said Parnell.

Rahul Sharma insisted that he would put his career at stake if results are found against him. He said, “I am sure my results won’t be positive.If tests are positive, I’ll quit cricket.“

Despite these allegations, both players played entire season for Pune Warrior in the 5th edition of IPL. Having found them quilty, it’s upto BCCI and IPL governing council to chastise the duo for their act.
