Shane Warne led Rajasthan Royal to the inaugural IPL title

The legendary Australian was his side’s premier spinner and the captain of the team as well as the coach. The leggie picked up 19 wickets in 15 matches with an average of 21.26 and also scored 70 runs in the tournament, while also hitting the winning run in the final.

He had already retired from international cricket before the start of the tournament. Since the tournament, he continued to lead the Royals unti 2011. He also led the Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League. In 2013, he officially retired from all formats and since then has worked as a cricket commentator, and has also appeared in reality shows.
