The two-day 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction wrapped up on November 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with players being sold for record-breaking amounts. Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant made history as the highest-priced acquisition, fetching INR 27 crore from Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
The IPL 2025 Auction also witnessed a thrilling collection of uncapped players earning spots with various franchises. Although these players have yet to prove themselves on the international stage, they are anticipated to bring a wave of fresh energy, untapped talent, and versatility to their teams.

#10 Abdul Samad - Lucknow Super Giants
The Jammu and Kashmir cricketer, formerly with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), has been signed by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for INR 4.20 crore. Having made his IPL debut in 2020, the middle-order batter stayed with SRH until 2024, amassing 577 runs in 50 matches at a strike rate of 146.07.
At just 23 years old, Samad brings valuable IPL experience and is set to play a pivotal role in finishing games for LSG. Across 89 T20 matches, he has scored 1,468 runs, including five half-centuries.
#9 Ashutosh Sharma - Delhi Capitals
Ashutosh Sharma was acquired by Punjab Kings for INR 20 lakh ahead of the 2024 IPL season. He made a strong impression later in the season, playing crucial cameos and scoring 189 runs in nine innings at an impressive strike rate of 167.25, including one half-century.
In the IPL 2025 mega auction, the 26-year-old was purchased by Delhi Capitals (DC) for INR 3.8 crore. The right-handed batter is expected to play a key role for DC in the upcoming season.
Overall, the Railways player has featured in 29 T20 matches, scoring 702 runs, with six half-centuries to his name. Most recently, during a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 match for Railways against Chhattisgarh, he scored an unbeaten 59 off 37 balls and also took two wickets.
#8 Angkrish Raghuvanshi - Kolkata Knight Riders
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) purchased Angkrish Raghuvanshi for INR 20 lakh ahead of the 2024 season. Due to an injury to Nitish Rana, Raghuvanshi played 10 matches, scoring 163 runs, including one half-century. However, the 20-year-old was released ahead of the mega auction.
Despite his release, the Knight Riders once again showed interest in the young batter and successfully acquired him for INR 3 crore. With the experience of having played one season, the right-handed batter is expected to get more opportunities this year. Overall, Raghuvanshi has played 21 T20 matches, scoring 385 runs.
#7 Naman Dhir - Mumbai Indians
Punjab cricketer Naman Dhir was initially acquired by Mumbai Indians (MI) for INR 20 lakh ahead of the 2024 season. He played in seven matches, scoring 140 runs, including one half-century. Although he was released, MI used their Right to Match card to secure the 24-year-old for INR 5.25 crore.
Naman is expected to receive ample game time in the 2025 season to showcase his potential. Overall, he has played 17 T20 matches, scoring 293 runs and taking five wickets.
#6 Abhinav Manohar - SunRisers Hyderabad
Karnataka batter Abhinav Manohar made his IPL debut with Gujarat Titans in the 2022 season and remained with the franchise until 2024, scoring 231 runs in 15 innings. In the 2025 mega auction, the 30-year-old was acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 3.20 crore.
Abhinav put up an exceptional performance in the 2024 Maharaja T20 Trophy, finishing as the second-highest run-scorer of the tournament. He scored 507 runs in 10 innings at a remarkable average of 84.50, including six half-centuries. The 30-year-old will be keen to replicate this impressive form in the IPL as well.
#5 Mahipal Lomror - Gujarat Titans
Gujarat Titans have acquired all-rounder Mahipal Lomror for INR 1.70 crore for the 2025 season. The 25-year-old recently made headlines with an unbeaten 300 for Rajasthan against Uttarakhand in the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy.
Mahipal has previously represented Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL, amassing 527 runs in 40 matches, including one half-century. In total, he has played 105 T20 matches, scoring 2,077 runs, with 12 half-centuries and 11 wickets to his name.
#4 Akash Madhwal - Rajasthan Royals
Akash Madhwal gained attention during the 2023 IPL season with Mumbai Indians, where he claimed 14 wickets in eight matches, including a five-wicket haul in the eliminator against LSG. However, he didn’t get many opportunities in the 2024 season, taking five wickets in as many games.
In the IPL 2025 mega auction, the 31-year-old was acquired by Rajasthan Royals for INR 1.2 crore and is expected to play a key role in the pace bowling department. Overall, Madhwal has featured in 46 T20 matches, taking 54 wickets.
#3 Anshul Kamboj - Chennai Super Kings
Right-arm pacer Anshul Kamboj made his IPL debut with Mumbai Indians in the 2024 edition, taking two wickets in three matches.
The 23-year-old recently became only the third bowler in history to claim all 10 wickets in a Ranji Trophy innings, achieving this remarkable feat while playing for Haryana against Kerala, with figures of 10 for 49.
Anshul was acquired by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for INR 3.4 crore. The pacer has a solid T20 record, having taken 24 wickets in 21 games.
#2 Rasikh Salam - Royal Challengers Bengaluru
Jammu and Kashmir cricketer Rasikh Salam made his IPL debut with Mumbai Indians in the 2019 season, where he played just one match. He later represented KKR in the 2022 season, featuring in two games but failing to pick up a wicket.
Salam’s standout performance came in the 2024 IPL with Delhi Capitals, where he was effective in the latter stages of the innings, taking nine wickets in eight matches.
In the 2025 mega auction, Salam was acquired by Royal Challengers Bengaluru for INR 6 crore and is expected to play a key role in the bowling attack alongside Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, and Yash Dayal. To date, he has featured in 33 T20 matches, claiming 43 wickets.
#1 Nehal Wadhera - Punjab Kings
The top spot on the list goes to Punjab player Nehal Wadhera, who will represent Punjab Kings in the 2025 IPL after being bought for INR 4.20 crore. Nehal made his IPL debut in the 2023 season with Mumbai Indians, where he scored 241 runs in 10 innings, including two fifties.
In the 2024 edition, he didn’t get enough opportunities, managing just 109 runs in six games. This season, he will represent his home state team, Punjab, and will be eager to make a significant impact. Overall, he has played 36 T20 matches, accumulating 656 runs, including four fifties.
