India’s spinner Ravichandran Ashwin gave another thumping reply on social media today when a cricket fan openly accused him of having an illegal bowling action. The incident occurred when Rising Pune Supergiants congratulated Ashwin and other Indian star performers of yesterday’s game with this creative post:
While replying, one person tagged Ashwin and accused him by saying: “Illegal action, where is ICC?”
Ashwin, who has been seen very active on Twitter lately, replied back quickly with a straight-faced answer and said: “ICC is in Dubai.”
In the Asia Cup 2016 opener yesterday, India defeated the hosts Bangladesh by 45 runs where Ashwin picked up one wicket while giving away just 23 runs in his quota of four overs. They Men in Blue next take on Pakistan on February 27.
This is not the first time that Ashwin has come up with a hilarious reply to a troll on Twitter. Recently, after India thrashed South Africa in the home Test series 3-0, another fan tweeted saying: “you can show your performance only in Asia ... Foreign condition you are waste there are many bowlers perform more that u.”
The spinner replied: “Go and focus on getting your kids educated instead of worrying about me, did I ask your permission before deciding to take up cricket?”
Clearly, trying to troll Ashwin on Twitter is not a good idea! The spinner is proving to be the king of social media.
