India’s Ravindra Jadeja makes his 100th ODI appearance today against Pakistan

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is playing his 100th One-day International match today with his appearance in the ongoing India-Pakistan match in the sixth match of Asia Cup 2014.

The Saurashtra player made his debut for India on February 8, 2009 against Sri Lanka, and now has 1489 runs and 116 wickets to his name.

Amidst all the jokes and memes surrounding him, Jadeja has been a crucial member of the Indian squad, and is currently the No.9 bowler in the ICC ODI rankings. With an economy of 4.71 runs an over in ODIs, Jadeja remains one of the most economical bowlers in world cricket now and was the first Indian bowler, when he reached the summit last October, to top the rankings since Anil Kumble back in 1996.
