England bring back Moeen and Curran for Southampton Test

Moeen Ali's last Test appearance came against New Zealand during March

England have announced their playing eleven for the fourth Test against India at Southampton. All-rounders Moeen Ali and Sam Curran have been brought into the lineup at the expense of Ollie Pope and the injured Chris Woakes.

Another major development is Jos Buttler taking over the wicket-keeping gloves from Jonny Bairstow. The move is precipitated at maximising the latter's batting potential. The Yorkshireman will occupy the pivotal number four spot.
